Why Christians bug the fuck out of me

Below are just a few choice quotes from emails sent by supposed “Christians” to Amanda Marcotte of Pandagon. It’s soooo refreshing to hear them spew out how they really feel, and their choice of words is exactly what i think Jesus would have said. Oh wait, no they aren’t.

Problem with women like you, you just need a good fucking from a real man! Living in Texas myself, I know you haven’t found that real Texan yet. But once your liberal pro feminist ass gets a real good fucking, you might see the light. Until then, enjoy your battery operated toys b/c most real men wouldn’t want to give you the fucking you deserve b/c the shit that would come out of you ears.

i like the way you trash talk i don’t particularly want to have sex with you but i would like a blow job.

It’s just too bad your mother didn’t abort you. You are nothing more than a filthy mouth slut. I bet a couple of years in Iraq being raped and beaten daily would help you appreciate America a little. Need a plane ticket ?

YOU RACIST WHORE. FAT UGLY BITCH. SUCK MY LONG COCK ASSHOLE I HOPE YOU KIDS NEVER LIVE AND YOUR PARENTS DIE A TRAGIC DEATH YOU ASSHOLE BITCH!
I HOPE YOUR WOMB IS BARREN AND YOUR CAREER PLUMMETS TO HELL YOU BITCH

  1. Perhaps you should put quotes around the word “Christians” in the title as well as in the post. It’s pretty clear that you aren’t talking about Christians. Even you are aware that the words in those e-mails aren’t in alignment with what Jesus taught; even you can tell the difference between true Christian and a false one.

Is it ok to place labels on groups that offend you? I thought the whole notion behind being progressive is that we moved beyond group-identity and into individual responsibility. Those individuals are ignorant and hateful. They don’t represent Christianity.

  2. If I were calling someone a n****r, or using a slur then then my use of the word Christian would be a problem.

But these people identify themselves as Christian and it is not my job to qualify that any more that it is your job to qualify me as “female”.

Wonder and I have had this argument many times. I am not a member of the Christian club and therefore my only responsibility is to call those who are on their hypocrisy.

You do claim to share the same faith. If you don’t want these screaming violent asswipes to be what people think of when Christianity is mentioned it is your job to put a better image of Christians out in the world. It’s not mine, again- I’m not a member of the club.

  3. The word isn’t a slur, anymore than “girls” is a slur.

Saying “girls are irrational, petty, and manipulative,” followed by a list of stupid things that some girls have said is the same as what you’ve just done. And as it turns out, most of the girls I’ve encountered are actually that way, and I suppose it’s your job to fix that image, because hey — I’m not a girl. It’s not my image that needs to be fixed.

    Am I wrong here?

  4. See- you’re being a sexist. It’s along the same lines as being a racist- meaning that in order to maintian your sense of entitlement you denigrate an entire section of society based on how they were born.

I am saying that those of you who call yourselves Christian (a choice, by the way) do have a responsibility to make sure that the image of the thing you choose to associate with is not full of hate. If you do not take that responsibility then you can whine all you want about how unfair it is- but you are still choosing to align yourself with an image of hate.
